Marine walk with Kids, Youth, and Adults on Conservation

In 2021 we started Marine Awareness walks with school children and the public. And also we started Mangroves and Forest walks with colleges and school children. Urban conservation through citizen science and catalyzing it through biodiversity walks educating about the marine and forest ecosystems, research activities by pro-active species documentation of biodiversity in various hotspots with a scientific approach. Until now, we conducted 15 Environmental Awareness walks.

With the help of family and friends through trust, we distributed 150 food packets on the streets of Chennai to a few homeless pangs of hunger.   

Awareness Talks about Different Ecosystems

In 2021, we started Awareness talks on Marine Ecosystems and Terrestrial Ecosystems with Primary and Higher secondary, school children and with boys and girls shelter homes in different places on the east coast of India.

PLASTIC-FREE OCEAN

On 202On 25.11.2022, a Drawing Competition with the theme “PLASTIC-FREE OCEAN” along with WWF (India) Mr Praveen Kumar, Mr Sarvanan, and Ms Subiksha. The Institution of St. Mary’s AI Hr. Sec. School - Dr. Rev. Father Thomas was a horned guest and the Judges were Mr Paneer Selvam (Retired AD Fisheries Department) and Dr. Joe K. Kizhakudan (Chief Scientist of CMFRI,

, Chennai), Mr Thankaraj (District Coordinator NGC Chennai). Mrs Jyoti Prakash, Mrs Yashashree Prakash, Mrs Sakunthala (Science Teacher of MFSD School) and Ms Mahalakshmi, Adv and the team as volunteers and supporters of this event.  
whereby around 100 kids from schools.Each and every kid filled the empty chart with a different story about our polluted oceans. By observing each chart, it is understood that children are more aware of environmental pollution than the elders who are subsumed in drawing out material comforts from natural resources.
